Best Drugstore Makeup Dupes
Benefit POREfessional Pore Minimizing Primer ($32)
The Benefit POREfessionals primer, while hyped and well-loved in the makeup world, can be a bit pricey. If you are trying to stick to a budget, spending more than a few dollars on a primer may be out of the question. The Maybelline Master Prime primer is my personal go-to. I do not use super expensive primers. TBH, the times that I have, I have barely noticed a difference. I love this Maybelline primer and how many different skintypes it appeals to. I personally use their moisturizing prime since my skin tends to be a bit dry. They also have options for matte and dewy finish, dry and oily skin, etc. You name it, there’s a primer for you! Love!
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation ($40)
The Too Faced Born This Way foundation, again, receives a lot of love from beauty gurus and makeup lovers. While I have never personally purchased it, I have had multiple expensive foundations in my lifetime and, yet, I still continue to go back to my good ol’ drugstore dupes. This Milani Conceal+Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation+Concealer is one of the very best drugstore foundations I can recommend. As someone who is super pale and struggles to find foundation that doesn’t make me look like a Cheeto, I really appreciate the range here. No matter what color skin you were blessed with, Milani probably has an option to match!
Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer ($34)
While I DO love my Make Up Forever products that I’ve had before, it is not essential that you spend that much money on a concealer! There are tons of quality drugstore concealers that can give you a flawless finish as well! The Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is the one that I have been using for the past, oh, 2 years or so! I love it! For so long, I refrained from buying it because I thought “age-rewind” meant it was only good for wrinkles and lines. But, man was I wrong! This concealer is the perfect amount of coverage for everything I need and blends so nicely!
I can’t lie, the Benefit Hoola Bronzer is ONE of my favorites. BUT, the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer might just be my FAVORITE. It goes on so smooth and creamy (hence the “butter” in the name, I suppose) and it smells incredible.
Weird that I smell my bronzer?
But it smells great, just in case you were wondering. 😂
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector ($38)
I can’e lie to you, I love me some champagne pop… I even mentioned this Becca highlighter in my Splurge Items Worth Their Price Post. HOWEVER, if it doesn’t feel worth the price to YOU, you’re not out of luck! My first experience with this Wet ‘n Wild highlighter was in high school. A teammate on my cheer team bought it for me and wowie! Talk about a POPPIN’ highlight! This highlighter is unbelievably pigmented and so so pretty! There’s also multiple different shades so you can find what works the best for your own personal skintone!
Urban Decay Naked 3 ($54)
This Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is my favorite of the Urban Decay Naked collection. I’m a sucker for some pink-toned eyeshadow. I love the shimmer and warm tones in the palette. That said, the Maybelline Blushed Nudes palette has an almost identical vibe (for over $40 less!). The shadows in this drugstore palette are super pigmented and have such a beautiful shimmer.
Benefit Gimme Brow ($24)
Okay, don’t come for me… I’m not a HUGE brow person.
I appreciate other peoples brows but kinda neglect my own TBH.
Ever since I accidentally chopped off the middle of my eyebrow in middle school, I think I’m a bit leerie to go near them.
Like, seriously guys.
I’m talking full on Charlie Puth style.
My sister laughed.
It wasn’t a good day.
But honestly, I don’t feel like I know HOW to have good brows.
(Lowkey it’s an insecurity so if you got tips, please let me know!)
ANYWAYS, the Benefit Gimme Brow is one of the most popular brow items I know of. Even I, a brow novice, own it! It’s great. I have zero complaints… besides the price. $24 is a bit much for my college-girl budget.
$7 is a bit more my type!
This NYX Tinted Brow Mascara is super similar in the way it is convenient and quick. I much prefer the spoolie brush over a brow pencil… those just intimidate me more. LOL!
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner ($22)
I feel like I hear about Stila most often in reference to this Stila Liquid Liner… (besides the days of stilababe09 on YouTube — I REALLY hope someone knows what I’m talking about #MereBear4Life 😉).
But this Maybelline liquid liner is my FAVE. Seriously been choosing this liner since MIDDLE SCHOOL. It has seen me through some baaaaad wings.😬
I don’t wear liner very often anymore but this is still my all-time favorite for when I do!
This Better Than Sex mascara was my first “grown-up” makeup purchase that I remember making for myself. I was in Hawaii and I marched my middle-school butt into Sephora and bought my own Too Faced mascara… I thought I was the boujee-est B-otch in town.
Now I can’t lie, I love it.
I just don’t have the same money that 11-year-old Del apparently did…
This L’Oreal mascara is almost identical for a much more budget-friendly price. Such a perfect dupe!
Urban Decay All-Nigher Setting Spray ($33+)
The All-Nigher Setting Spray gets AMAZING reviews so, naturally, I went out and blew my money on it during a spur-of-the-moment Sephora run.
It’s nice and all but I was glad I got the small size and didn’t empty my wallet for the big one… for two reasons.
- I don’t go through it very fast
- I don’t notice a huge difference between “high end” and drugstore setting sprays
Maybe I’m just not woke to the setting spray world but I don’t notice a major difference… All-Nighter is great! But I’d rather save the money and go for this drugstore dupe instead, personally!
We now have a full face of the best drugstore makeup dupes!
As a college student that is looking to save money any chance I get, I fully understand the value of finding cheaper alternatives to expensive products. While the expensive, high-end products can be great, the cheaper options can be just as good!
With these best drugstore makeup dupes, you can build your dream makeup look with any budget!
