Is it just me or it is SO difficult to shop for boys? Whether it’s Christmas, Father’s Day, or a Birthday, I CANNOT for the life of me come up with gift ideas.
I struggle, especially with Father’s Day. Usually, it takes me strolling through multiple stores for hours, looking at random things until I finally find (or come up with) the PERFECT Father’s Day gift ideas.
Or, sometimes, I’ll ask another guy in my life for some advice for gifts for dad. Their response is almost always “well, what does he like?”
That’s why I want to share Father’s Day gift ideas for ALL different types of dads.
The dad who loves barbecuing, the dad who loves coffee, the dad who loves reading, the dad who loves sports… no dad will be left out here.
With this list, you are bound to find the PERFECT Father’s Day gift ideas for YOUR dad, whatever he may like the most!
This post is all about Father’s Day gift ideas.
Father’s Day Gift Ideas
For the Dad Who Loves Barbecuing:
THIS IS MY DAD! He is a certified grill-master. (Okay, not actually… but in my eyes.)
This is a great place to start. There’s tons of Father’s Day gift options when it comes to our boss-barbecue dads. Barbecue tools, barbecue covers, timers, meat thermometers, aprons… HECK, you could even go all out and get him a new barbecue if you’re REALLY looking to cash in on your pops!
Here are some of my personal favorite ideas:
Apron: (I LOVE this!)
For the Dad Who Loves Coffee:
One of my coworkers recommended I get this for my dad for Christmas last year. Needless to say, I was willing to listen to ANY suggestion for dad gifts (LOL, I struggle) and got my dad THIS:
He told me that it was his favorite gift of the year. To this day, he’s been using it nonstop. He takes it to work, he uses it at home, he LOVES IT! It makes me so happy every time I see him using it. A successful guy gift is a win in my book, hahaha!
I personally went for the dark blue/navy color for the Yeti tumbler (that’s the color of his company!) but there are TONS of great options!
You can also opt for an at-home coffee mug. Can’t go wrong with a standard, good ol’ dad mug:
For the Dad Who Loves Reading:
Anyone else feel like Kindles are mainly found in the purses of old ladies and the hands of dads?
I mean zero offense if you’re a youthful Kindle-lover. I have one too, I just always forget to use it!😬 Honestly, I WANT to… some books are SO much cheaper to buy for Kindles than an actual paper copy.
But Kindles are perfect for a dad who loves his books.
But even if your dad is more of an old-fashioned book-in-hand guy (like me), here are some unique Father’s Day gift ideas for him!
Book Page Holder:
I honestly think these are SO COOL! I kinda want one myself so I don’t have that awkward “rock-on” hand when I’m reading… You know what I’m talking about. When you’re trying to hold your book up and your pages open at the same time. 🤟🏼
Hello, hand cramp!
This is like a book lamp without having a big, clunky thing dangling off the side of your pages. TBH I would use one of these.
For the Dad Who Loves Watching Football:
NFL Team Steel Coasters:
For the Dad Who Is Always on the Computer:
I think this is every dad honestly… no? My dad’s computer area literally has 3 separate screens. Yes, THREE. They’re HUGE too… it’s like a personal movie theatre over at dad’s desk.
Spice up your dad’s computer setup with some new gadgets!
And you could REALLY do your dad a solid and save your pop’s eyes with some blue light glasses. Hey, our dad’s are getting up there… we gotta save what’s still hanging on. 😉 (KIDDING. Dad, if you’re reading this, I love you. You’re young and hip, promise.😬)
For the Dad Who Loves Beer:
I feel like this goes hand-and-hand with the dads who love watching football and the dads who love barbecuing. Anyone else’s dad fit all those or is that just mine? Hahaha!
I think beer is absolutely disgusting… looks disgusting, smells disgusting. But these cups actually make it look super appealing, I can’t lie. (Emphasis on the LOOK… it’s still NASTY.)
Fancy Bottler Opener:
For the Dad Who Loves Gaming
I kinda wish my dad was a gamer dad TBH. I feel like there’s SO many options for gaming gifts. Controllers, games, headsets, chairs, or even a whole new gaming system. There’s a whole world of possibilities. Kinda jealous of having so many solid go-to gifts for dad… at least my bro-in-law is a gamer.
This chair looks comfy AF… weird if I make this my new office chair? Might kill my aesthetic but I don’t even care. Bye, bye back pain. LOL!
For the Dad Who Loves Camping:
Camping dads are another category that I feel like has endless options. There’s so many different camping fun gadgets and tools that just scream “DAD”. If your dad is the outdoorsy camping type, here’s some great Father’s Day gift ideas…
Nothin’ says camping like a mediocre-ly grilled hot dog, am I right?😉
Outdoor Flashlight/Radio/Charging Station/Alarm:
Wow, this nifty lil’ thing really does it all (for pretty cheap too TBH).
Outdoor equipment and cool gadgets? Doesn’t get more “dad’ than that.
For the Dad Who Loves Golfing:
This is my dad to a TEE (did you catch that pun?😉).
Golf equipment is probably my #1 go-to gift idea for dad. So many options, so many varieties… you can’t go wrong!
My dad has a gold hat with this brand name on it so it must be good… hahaha! My clueless Father’s Day shopping logic.😂
I’m PRETTY sure these are the exact clubs we just got my bro-in-law for his birthday and he was in love with them!! They are a super nice set so, obviously, they’re on the pricier end. There are definitely some more affordable options for these but I wanted to recommend what I know about personally!!
Golf Ball Marker:
For the Dad Who Loves Electronics:
I KNOW it can’t just be my dad who is obsessed with watching Facebook videos on volume 3,000 in the middle of a conversation. Hahahah! I think it’s a man thing?
Anyways, this love for technology (or just weird Facebook videos) comes in handy for Father’s Day gift ideas. These are all perfect for the technology-lover dads like mine out there!
Remember what I said about watching videos at volume 3,000? This doubles as a gift for the whole fam. 😉
For the Dad Who Need a Massage:
Our dads work hard! They deserve a little R&R. Give them the gift of relaxation for Father’s Day.
My sister and brother-in-law got my dad one of these and you would’ve thought he had died and gone to heaven. 😂
When I was younger, my dad used to ask me to rub his feet after work and I always felt bad cause he worked so hard… but feet are a big NO from me.🤢
This way he gets his massage and I don’t have to touch any toes. Everyone wins!
For the Dad Who Loves to Travel:
The jet-setter dad will love these ones.
With an eye mask AND earplugs. He’ll really be set.
For the Boujee Dad:
For the Motorcycle Dad:
My dad just joined the motorcycle dad club within the last few years and, let me tell ya, it’s made Father’s Day gift ideas so much easier. It opens a whole new world of possibilities.
There are TONS of motorcycle accessories available… Helmets, jackets, belts, shoes, covers, etc.! I’m going to list to most affordable ones I know of personally!
Motorcycle Phone Mount:
Motorcycle Alarm Padlock:
Key chains, Harley shirts, and other accessories are also always a great option!
For the Fit Dad:
Workout equipment is perfect for those dads that love to stay in shape!
For the Dad Who Loves to Relax:
We ALL love some relaxation time so these gifts are PERFECT for ALL dads. Who’s gonna turn down some comfy clothes and good snacks?😉
Dads love their snacks!
Now you have tons of Father’s Day gift ideas for ALL types of dads!
I know you are bound to find something on this list that is PERFECT for your dad on Father’s Day!
